“Helllsing” is a manga that was adapted as a thirteen episode TV series from 2001-2002, which was followed by an on-going OVA series. “Hellsing Ultimate”, started in 2006. . All of the images here are from the OVA.

The sub-rosa organization Hellsing, named after its founder, Abraham van Helsing, has defended Great Britain from vampires and other non-human beings/NHBs (as well as any incursion from the Holy See) under the blessing of the Crown, for over one-hundred years.

“In the name of God, impure souls of the living dead shall be banished into eternal damnation. Amen.”

With the death of Abraham’s eldest son, Arthur, the question of control of the organization led to family in-fighting as succession fell to Arthur’s thirteen-year-old daughter, Integra. In order to defend herself, she innocently awoke Hellsing’s greatest secret, the imprisoned, enslaved, ur-vampire, Alucard. Now, several years later, we get to watch the gruesome exploits of the Hellsing paramilitary organization, as it, with the aid of this blood lusting thrall; along with his novice vampire servant, Seras Victoria; Integra’s loyal, murderous, ex-“Death God” butler, Walter C. Dornez; and a group of mercenaries, the Wild Geese; endeavors to “protect” the British Isles from un-dead Neo-Nazis, and baddies that go bump in the night.
