BraveStarr
Home/Change Series
Released in 1987, "BraveStarr" followed the adventures of a Sci-Fi, Native American Marshal.
In the future, mankind travels the solar system in space ships powered by alien ore mined on planet New Texas. The ore powers everything in the future including "BraveStarr’s" weaponry. Seeking to take control of this new power source, outlaw Tex Hex attacks the mining facilities with the help of his gang, Carrion. The only man in the future who has both the guts and the power to stop Hex is Marshal BraveStarr. BraveStarr has the ability to summon earth totems, which endow him with strength, agility, keen senses, and speed.
The cartoon followed Filmation’s success, "He-Man". Unfortunately, it wasn’t very well received and after one year it was canceled (I was 5 or 6 at the time, so forgive me if I screwed up on any details in the explanation). The toys are some of the best action figures ever made. They were taller than any other action figure at the time, they were made of more durable plastic, and a lot of the smaller details were painted.
